he won't answer who'd he'd replace them with though...just a wind-up merchant it seems to me. I'm all for differing opinions, but sometimes you come across somebody way off any mark and can only conclude they 'are messin'

That’s a huge risk mate, the squad needs so much surgery it’s frightening and only selling him and possibly DCL will give us a chance of fixing it.

If we weren’t in the financial mess then do everything to keep him but the timing is right for him to go

Hypothetical scenario - we finished top 6, Chelsea barely survived. Same squads. Who do we get to improve our team?

I don't really get this. Yes my opinions would change in a scenario where all our players were way better and theirs way worse.

I think we can all agree that his contract should be better than it is considering some of the players on more than him

Optimistic view, seems he’s made a point about improving the team and squad, maybe Franks talked him into 1 more year…. Perhaps the ‘end of the month’ is to see who we sign and if not what we need he’ll be off.

Update, he wants to be king of Everton, forever, and to fight Bill for the title. Loser gets a viking funeral to open the new ground. Then he wants to design the kit every season until he dies and to be the highest earner at the club even after he retires from playing.

I would honestly give it him.

Rumoured to be about 90k pw. Others on 120k pw so maybe its a wage demand
