Yeah man Lookman scored a goal every 240 minutes and Richarlison had one every 250. Is dividing goals by minutes played advanced stats over there? I learned division when I was 9.

There is no throat standing, I could go into a long explanation about per 90, yada yada yada and you really can't get to a point where Rashford is worse than Gordon if you do that but then that'll be dismissed as not watching games and when I watch games Rashford is just clearly a better player than Gordon so what's actually the point in writing it out?

And honestly I could probably do the same thing with Richarlison based on this year too. Open it up more it's even clearer. But then something about me saying players don't get better (which for me I'm not asking Rashford to do, just play at the level he already has). It's all to exhausting when the long and short of it is we're once again overrating what little positive we have. Same as it ever was.

I firmly believe that to rebuild the club we need to start selling our best players as a normal course of business.

Every league position is worth 2mil
Advancements in cups is also worth money
this is before the intangible benefits of merchandising
Normal course of business is to make profit
Selling our best players makes us weaker as a team
If we can at all rebuild while keeping them, we make ourselves stronger
It should never be the first port of call to sell your best assets and it is not normal business practice to do so

Honestly I'm impressed you even took the time to do thus. I'm also not sure if doing the team xG thing is good use of stats or not.

You'd think he was Maradona some of the posts in here. I like the guy and love that he seems to love us back but come on he's not an elite player, nobody is irreplaceable. He doesn't score as many as he should and his assists are just not there.

However he's one of our better lads but that's not hard, I'd prefer others to go before Richy but if he wants to go so be it.

It's daft to judge a player on "goals and assists" though.

He is a talismanic figure. In an ideal world we add good players to the squad to play alongside him.

You are right though in saying everybody is replaceable. They are commodities at the end of the day.
