The original point was not about whether or not Havertz was played out of position, it was simply stating that Tuchel does not fancy the traditional Lukaku type of striker and that Richarlison would be more than capable of playing centre forward for Chelsea

I don’t think Richarlison is good enough to be Chelsea’s centre forward.

Not an every day starter up front, I agree. However hes still a significant upgrade on the mega flop that is Timo Werner and offers some nice flexibility across their front line.

It really depends what type they want, tuchel preferred Havertz to Lukaku. Would you say Havertz is a better number 9 than richarlison.

For your long ball merchant, kick and rush teams, he probably will struggle as a 9. You could see him doing well at Liverpool and city and maybe Chelsea

He’s really not. Havertz is a number 10, a creative player. His first touch, passing and vision are his strengths, probably Richarlison’s biggest weaknesses. Richarlison is similar in style to Sterling who also can’t play as a number 9.

Richarlison has played number 9 for Brazil. He’s definitely a better 9 than sterling

Doesn’t really work like that does it. Grealish was getting double figure goals and assists at Villa, moves to City playing in a team full of world class players and gets 3 goals and 2 assists playing in the same role.

Richarlison is more of a forward though, so would spend a lot more time in the box.
