Richarlison

We need decent footballers , people who can play in the opposition half and keep the ball well … he’s very poor in possession
True but also goals win games. 10-13 from each midfielder as well a centre forward and we wouldn’t be anywhere near relegation each season. I’m not saying I think he is the answer but he’s better than what we have currently. Ndaiye possibly the acception.

this is like complaining about Lukaku's first touch.
Look at Brazil v Serbia in Qatar.
2 goals. One a poachers goal, right place, right time. One insane strike that very few in world football could pull off.
I don't even think he's that bad in possession but yeah, probably wouldn't play him on his own up top in a team that has no possession.

We need forwards who can score. If he's fit, he gets 10-15 from the wing and 15-20 up front.
Fitness is the big question. So get him on loan and see how it goes.

Mate Richy decision making and final ball are not good … add in the fact he hits the floor very easily and you will find that our attacks break down with him a lot . Not as much as they do with doucs or Harrison , but a lot.

And comparing him to someone that would guarantee you 20 goals a season with decent service and someone who can make their own chances and is lethal at 1v1 is not a fair comparison.

Roms hold up play was hit and miss but his finishing was consistent and he scored goals wherever he has been.

Richy went to spurs and flopped … rom would have been banging goals in for them had he moved there … they’re not anywhere close to being on the same level

“He’s just not very good “ ——That’s the way I saw him when he was with us, didn’t really have a football brain, passed the ball when a shot was on and had a shot when a pass was on far too many times and his quality with the ball was not very good especially for a Brazilian, then that feigning injury after every other tackle and the titty lip when he was subbed like a seven year old brat.
Good to his mam though—I believe!

By no means our worst player ever and he scored some important goals .. but was massively over hyped on here imo.

Final ball and the amount of attacks that broke down from bad passes, bad decisions or him throwing himself to the ground , was far to many.

I wasnt comparing him to Lukaku, I was comparing the criticism of him to the criticism of Lukaku

True but in order for the other players I. The front line to score too, he has to be able to set them up or keep attacks going and he simply isn’t good enough at that.

He will never be part of a free flowing team that plays well with the ball in the opposition half as it breaks down with him to often.

Spurs try to play that way and they don’t have the pressure of playing for a Man U, city, rs etc and he flopped there.

The thing is, because he hasn't played much, he hasn't been hammered like he was when he was here, with summers spent playing for Brazil, or at Olympics then straight back into the grinder in the PL.

Maybe a break has done him good. Maybe the big city lights of that london have dazzled him all wrong. Maybe the machinations of levy's spurs are a Machiavellian mischief to far for him. Scored some goals, has a bit of character, seemed to get on with the support well. spurs might be keen to have a bit of wiggle room in the budget this summer.

As a club we need to be looking forward not backwards.

I loved Richy but I'd be concerned about taking him back given his injury/form problems at Spurs. We'd get stung for a big fee and then his wages wouldn't be cheap. I'd rather that we get in the habit of going for younger players and developing them here (and having the potential of getting a fee in future).

In a similar vein I'm hopeful that we've put behind us the days of buying Man Utd crocks on big wages.

Anyone saying no for less than 30mil or so needs to check themselves. He’s a 27 year old proven goal scorer who can play across the front 3 and loves the club. Having him, Ndiaye, and either an upgraded striker or winger gives us so much more in the final third. Yes he’s had injuries at Spurs but come on…Hes still quality.

What do you mean “come on”? What good is a footballer who isn’t able to play football matches? Personally I think anyone that wants us to spend anything above £5m on him needs to check themselves. Him loving the club isn’t going to fix his broken body. He’s totally finished.
