A council official's son who stabbed two burglars after catching them breaking into his mother's home was today charged with murdering one of them.

Omari Roberts, 23, was hailed a hero after tackling 17-year-old Tyler Juett and a 14-year-old accomplice during a struggle.
But yesterday he appeared in court accused of killing Juett and wounding the younger raider with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.



Personally, if I ever found anybody in my house, they would be getting the first thing I could pick up smashed into them in some way.

The scumbags were burgling someone, they deserve no place in society. He deserves a medal. If they send him down, then Tony Blair can go with him, as he has 'murdered' many innocent people over in Iraq and Afghanistan, by the way of british troops to protect his property, his country, not to mention all those that have died on our side out there too.

What we'd like to do, and what we can get away with aren't always comparable.
15+ years inside won't help the family too much. I'd imagine nearly killing the guy, then standing on his airway untill the police come would be better.

Yeah I don't agree with a lot of laws though, a lot are too soft. I would rather go to prison for 15 yrs than have some crim hurt one of my family.

It's difficult to say how we would react if the situation arose.
Obviously our family takes priority, but it's very important to keep a level head.
I've been stabbed before, and was very lucky to have gotten away relatively ok. If you can avoid risking harm to your family by simply avoiding a confrontation, then material goods are worth losing.
A gun pointing at your face tends to have an immidiate impact.

The end of the day them 2 little rats have broke into that house knowing quite well what they were doing id have no regrets if they got into my house id proably do the same thing you work for a living for some little shits to think they can just come in and graft your home sorry no regrets from me .
