I think you're taking things a bit far.... He was a two bob burglar not a mass murderer.

He was part of a gang that battered a train driver with an iron bar and made off with £2m.

Burglary is theft without violence. He was an armed robber. You can't romanticise what he took part in, you just can't.

He was a tin pot burglar who got offered the chance to earn enough money to set him up for a while..... I'm not romanticising what they done.... Hey got caught and rightly sent to prison..... I think it some feat to ave escaped from prison, got out the country and stayed on the run for that long.... It takes some doing.

He was, until he got involved in an armed robbery. After that, any notion of him as a small time crook is ridiculous.

Would it be the same feat if it was your dad or grandad they battered with an iron bar and who spent the rest of his days unable to work and mentally scarred? I somehow doubt you'd be so quick to admire him in that situation.

The story behind how he escaped is actually pretty good.

Not when you've fled to a non extraditory country it doesn't mate, they knew where he was just couldn't do bugger all about it, only to come back when he wants, on his terms and procedes to rape our NHS that hard-working people pay to upkeep.

People like him are a cancer on society.

If he didn't batter the train driver I would be sound with it.

You know the documentary which is on tonight, has it been on before or is it a new one?

No offence mate but your facts are a little skewered.... IM not defending what they done a all but the driver wasn't battered, he was struck twice ( which was twice too much in my opinion ), he returned to work after a short while, went off sick a short while after that, retuned to work again after that. It's just an era and a story I find interesting .. Is my opinions, I don't ask anyone to either agree or disagree.... It's just my take on things.
