FCConnecticut

Player Valuation: £2.5m
Saw a recent article suggesting that Kraft is very interested in buying a stake in a Prem club. I'm not a Patriots fan but he has done a great job with that team and seems like one of the better Sports Team owners. I believe he has a stake in the MLS as well.

He own an American football team, the Patriots. Ownb the New England Revolution in MLS (but paly in the Patriots stadium on a new type of artificial turf). He's 66 and has Billions. He was interested in Liverpool back in '05 but Gillet bought into them.

An interesting feature of the Patriots is that they have kind of re-defined the model of a NFL team. They are a dynasty in a time when dynasties are supposed to be impossible because of salary caps. Yetr the Patriots are built around one or two stars and then a whole bunch of versatile, hard working guys who make average salaries and buy into the team concept. They have been able to let player after player go when they want a new contract and alwayus seems to fill the spot with some new guy that just gets the job done. They even had one guy who was a wide reciever and played on defense when pressed into duty due to injuries, and did a good job. I point all of this out because it is not unlike Everton with the salary structure and versatile players buying into the team concept.

Kraft would be a great fit, is a fan of the game and has really good sporting business sense and not just a bean counter.

Of course, this might go against him ;)

In November 2005, met with Rick Parry, the Chief Executive of English Football team Liverpool. Kraft is rumoured to be interested in investing money into the 2004-05 European Champions.

Kraft told BBC Radio Five Live: "Liverpool is a great brand and it's something our family respects a lot. We're always interested in opportunities and growing, so you never know what can happen."

is this the guy behind the cheese slices?

the refshite were whoring themselves around this guy a while back, and something put him off. i wonder what.

The blue neighbours over the road showed so much more class he couldn't bare to buy into the inbreds?

He should invest his billions into us. Or we get the Microsoft co-owner who owns the Seattle Seahawks (My third team after the 49ers and the Patriots)

Sorry Guys it does not matter who you come up with or what rumours are going round, BK will never sell his holding and neither will the other main shareholders.

Ok, well I have nothing against American people, most of my clients are American but I think the longer this goes on and the lack of British investors in the Premiership, the further we are going to move from our heritage and roots.

I know that American people wanted to change the rules of the game prior to the 94 World Cup. Now Eggert Magnusson is suggesting we play football over in the states as a showcase for the Premiership. Why? If we break the US or not, football in the UK will still flourish because it has done so much in the past.

It shouldn't really be down to David Beckham, and the UK clubs to raise the profile of football in the States.

Of course if a long distant relative of Guggenheim wants to plough several billions of pounds into the Blues then pass me a big tall Mr Sam hat, a bucket of Chicken and a Miller Lite and i'll sing the Stars and Stripes. ;)

the premiership goes global, i wonder how long before seasons run through summer and games are played in sponsor arenas.
