I actually fear the derby coming up. How is he going to motivate the team for it

In fairness, the players should not need motivating for a Derby.

The managers responsibility is devising the tactical plans to nullify their gegenpressung, dividing tactical plans to enable us to get at them and make the most of their equally woeful defence... and picking the best team and subs bench to achieve that and then shut his trap from talking drivel beforehand and afterwards, because irrespective of the result, he will embarrass himself and Everton F.C.

Like a football manager would do? Agree.

Lost it for me.

We have overtaken Liverpool today.

They were at the top of the 'points lost from leading postions' table.

on 15 points, but Martinez sure showed them. We now lead the way on 16 points dropped from leading postitions.

Yes mate but we are still on track for 60 points and our name is on both cups. That for me is a very decent season. If you can't see that then you're just not level headed enough. *cough* 72 points *cough*

Decent comments from Martinez after the game this time I thought. Must be aware people are looking to call him out about excuses cos he probably could have had a right moan about a third goal scored after time added on.
He's probably got to do something a lot braver in terms of team selection to get confidence back some point this season. Looks like we're not gonna get the scrappy wins

He said 1 1 was a strong score against Watford

We weren't Norwich last time I checked

To be fair, can totally understand the attempted vaulting - I write big essays about stuff and come across as a pompous bar steward on here at times, so I can definitely see why people would want to take me down a few pegs.

Just needs to be accurate vaulting - there's a ton on Lukaku, feel free to go wild ;)
I'm only trying to have fun. Prodding an established member with a gentle leg pull. Then the po po weighed in.

It used to be allowed, actively encouraged even. Far too much angst and cryarsing now.

I don't know why, but I think he probably shouldn't have said "Watford were at their very best today."

Do you reckon we've actually forgot how to sack a manager?

I wouldn't put it past us. I reckon the only reason he's still in charge is because our admin staff can't be arsed figuring out the paperwork.

I reckon kenwright is embarrassed at poss getting it wrong, hence the comments after the quarter final
