He will not be due £12m.

That's the balance of his contract. There will be clauses limiting the club's liability in the event of termination. At an absolute max i'd say he'll be due half that amount, and most likely over the term of his remaining contract (and would be offset by the salary of any job he takes from this point out)

thanks i havent got a clue like just posted what i saw lol
still think its disgusting the way heel still get atleast a years salary pay off
for failing your job but thats footy i guess.. i only seen that quote in the mail lol

that awards ceremony should not be taking place for anyone associated with the first team, whether that be management or first team.

The awards ceremony tomorrow should be about Unsworth and the continued progress of the u21's and Sheedy and the u18's winning the tournament in America with both teams having decent seasons.

The board, management and first team can [Poor language removed] off as far as I'm concerned.

The first team awards should be along the lines of............
Most shameful performance...
Most over hyped individual.....
Most embarrassing performance...
Game with worst substitutions....
Worst goal keeping error.....
Etc, etc

Any first team player picking up an award should be thoroughly embarrassed!

maccavennie is 100% correct the awards ceremony should be a celebration of the work done in the U18's and U21's! To celebrate anything else, apart from George Shaw and Speedo Mick would be shameful!

It's not just football. It's how employment law with fixed term contracts works

How very Everton that even the media announcement can't bring themselves to use the word 'sacked'
