Posted before but, after the away game at Blackpoool in January 1966 when we lost 2-0. He dropped Alex Young and gave 16 year-old Joe Royle his debut.

But I really think off the pitch he did. The way he came in and gave us hope we could challenge, the way he integrated legends as part of the club, his speech at the Hilsborough memorial etc.

Not good enough for the management job but I don't think you can question his commitment.
