Roberto Martinez discussion

Only if you know the context and who wrote it.

In isolation, substitute Klopp for Martinez and change a few things round and we'd all be laughing at it.

Anyway, did anyone hear how Martinez said how pleased he was with our defensive performance yesterday and, compared to S'land, called it a complete performance ?

Well in Roberto for never being totally satisfied and always looking for improvements. Some were ( rightly ) happy with a 6-2, but the pros knew we could do better

:coffee:
I'd rather 6-2 than 4-0. Same goal difference but more goals scored for if we tie on goal difference.
FFS sort it out bobby.

A lot of people including myself though that he had until the end of November to turn us around. I actually thought the end of October at one point, but November was more realistic as you have played nearly half of your fixtures.

I don't think any of us can have cause for complaint at the moment, as it looks like the key players are all hitting form together at the same time, we are nicely poised, all be it in avery tight league and, we are in the last 8 of a domestic competition.

He seems to have got something out of Kone and that is a prime example of a manager reaping rewards for showing faith in a player. Baines and Cleverley back, Besic and Gibson too, the latter looking lean and ready, only Peinaar (who I think we have all basically written off at this point) and Jagielka seem a while away from any action.

A win next week at Bournemouth and I think I might to start get a fraction excited, but you know Everton!

This is a forum where people are encouraged to express their opinons.
I think that vaulting is a bit of fun and if you give an opinon and it is proven wrong then put your hand up
and don't try to defend the indefensible.

To be honest there are very few on here who have a real in depth knowledge of the professional game and of what professional
managers and coaches are looking for in a player.
I think there are very few who actually fully understand what is expected of individual players when they cross the white line onto a pitch. I certainly include myself in that.

It was described to me once by a friend who was friendly with an Irish premiership player(long since retired) as being like a chess piece on a chess board with remarkably little freedom for the player to deviate from the master plan.

I am not sure that many on here rely on this forum to form their opinons on how our team is doing at any time.
