This ****ing mask bollocks has to be by far and away my biggest shame ever... and i've accumulated some whopper shame in my time!
Moyes was my stable rock that i only missed because i was afraid of what the future would hold after him. Martinez, on the other hand, is that ****ing ride i've been missing all these years and didn't even know it!
This little letter i read after the 3-2 Everton Newcastle game sums it up to perfection.
"A Somewhat Convoluted Divorce Analogy - Looking at Everton after last night's (in the most part) convincing win led me to a divorce analogy. It's like the guy who stays with his childhood sweetheart, by now she's not the pretty young thing she was all those years ago and any chance of reliving the glory days of a bag off outside or quick blower are long gone, but she's ground you down, to the point now you're at the age where it's too late to start all over again, for fear of what's on the other side, the unknown. Everton were quite happy under Moyes, having sex on birthdays and maybe new year - wanting more but not daring to ask for it should they fall foul and end up sad and lonely. Then suddenly the wife ups and leaves you for her boss at Woolworths, and what do you know, first night out back on the horse and you find yourself with a young bird on your arm, doing all manner of bedroom antics you didn't even know they had names for wondering why you never left before, while she's cooking dinner for a guy who drives a Lexus but lives in a bungalow on the end of his mum's house.
I wish Everton all the best, and a string of young birds. Dave (LUFC) Cornwall"
Not to get too touchy-feely but Martinez is teaching me, the players and all Evertonians to never be afraid of anything or anyone ever. If you believe you can win, you can ****ing win!!!
Love him
