2020/21 Robin Olsen

Pope has conceded 2 more than Pickford but played 5 more games...and has a worse defence to protect him.

The concern is that Pickford has lost it, like previous England keepers, Robinson, Hart, Green, Butland etc. Chelsea paid £70m for Kepa & Liverpool similar for Becker. It’s a real problem & spending money is not guaranteed to solve it.

Pickford needs to be sold on. Pope will be our next GK. Pretty sure of it.

Thought Robin Olsen had a decent game against Spurs, but I'm not sure what's going on with us conceding so many goals at the minute. Anyway, I like the guy and I'm getting used to the lack of amateur dramatics and craziness that Pickford brings to the table.

Seems many on here think he did OK against spurs, I'm not so sure. If you look at the whole picture, all the games he has played, he's conceded a lot, in a short space of time.
I don't think we should be making his loan permanent on the basis of what he has shown so far. I would hope the club are looking at other options. Sergio Romero is on a free in the summer and I wouldnt be surprised if Olsen is just a stop gap until then.

I like Olsen, he's a good shot stopper, a better one than Pickford if I was to judge him right now and probably not much between them in other aspects of goalkeeping. The problem is is that I don't think he's good enough to challenge, so if we signed him I'd want to sell Pickford and go for a proper number 1. I can't see us signing two goalkeepers in the summer and selling Pickford.

What should he have done differently? Made some big saves and was let down massively by the defense in front of him.
