Any less than £35 million and we've been robbed. Because he's better than Andy Carroll, younger, English too, and he's more years on his contract.



EDIT: Although it is the Daily Fail, so take it with a truck load of salt. However my point still stands.
 
I usually dont get to worried by stuff like this, but ive been saying recently i think Rodwell is no 1 on Fergies hitlist.

I dont think we will get 30 mill for him either, not that i dont think hes worth it, but we're in a weak negotiating position.
 
If Rodwell went for anything less than £35m then Kenwright's life would be in danger.

Not even joking. Not saying I would kill him, but it isn't exactly a stretch to the imagination to envisage a crazed Evertonian on the rampage.

Would be even worse than losing Rooney as this would essentially be for nothing.

£40m should be the asking price.

Not a chance mate, he would go for in and around the same as Rooney with a few add ons - Utd would take us to the cleaners and we need the money.

Yup. £20-£25mill tops. With probably additional bonuses.

Will be our transfer kitty for the summer. But knowing us well leave it last minute as usual.

It would also boost his England chances.

He'd be a "key player" within minutes. Another reason I despise England.

Yup.

Off topic but what confirmed to me that the "bigger club" mentality still exists with the national side was when Darren bent moved to villa. Capello told him he boosted his England chances with the move. Even though Sunderland will finish higher than villa and bent was the 3rd highest goalscorer in the prem last season...it's still not good enough cos he played for Sunderland.
 

the transfer outgoings have been shocking again this season, yobo+cahill+rodwell should be more then a combined 15m.

pienaar and mirallas comes to 10.5m
