I view the forum through Google Chrome on my Android phone and the past week or so the Google play app keeps opening up and asking me to install either william hill, some photo printing app or I think it was twitter. This only happens when viewing GOT. Its just happened twice in about 30 secs. I'm a paid up forum supporter so should this be happening?

Thanks they changed some settings 2 days ago, they're monitoring closely so all reports appreciated. In March Google Chrome will have an update that will stop all shenanigans apparently.

Clicked on my usual GOT shortcut today and it was intercepted, yet again, by William hill directing me to Google play.

It's a good job I'm not a kid!

Google chrome has one now on every page just under the top right is that for the GOT for income or abuse of the GOT site- just happened this pm?

On desktops there should be a sidebar mate down the right.

It's a new thing I'm trialling as of today - basically the side bar that has always been there on the forum front page but now on every page.

Actually thinking could cost more (resource on the server/connections pulling in more info per page load) so may pull it lol We'll see, just tinkering - it's more trying to find better use of the page (thinking EFC stuff could go down the side) than anything else.

It shortens the page by a third for us oldies with thick glasseslol

This is happening on other forums I visit as well, some think it's targeting iPhone users, but I can't tell. Same adverts for me, Amazon and Walmart, no matter what I'm visiting (GOT or the [redacted] forum), so not sure how to fix it but I'm sure our networking/programming wonks here can put that information to good use.
