Unless we have an incredible season and that is backed up by some seriously impressive transfer business next summer (the sort we were hoping we'd get this summer), he'll be gone. We won't risk letting him go into the final year of his contract
Highly unlikely we'd sell him in January though - it would be unusual to sell your best/most valuable player in the January window. The Liverpool Torres/Suarez/Carroll deals were the biggest exception I can think of in recent years.

Even if one does I dont think we will sell him, this last window has shown how hard it is to get players to come in, hanging onto players is even more important now. I think he might go for a new contract, but with a crazy release clause that suits both parties.

So he hasn't signed a new improved contract as previously assumed. He is now talking about another club he could have been playing for. He was rather coy in his answers about staying at Everton beyond the short-term. Fair to conclude then, he doesn't exactly look thrilled to bits to still be at Everton.

No surprise really - he thought he was going to pack his bags for Euro 2016, then return and move directly to a top Champions League club! He must be absolutely gutted he's still with us, haha.
I don't really think he's said much we didn't know though Blue.
He's said he wanted to leave but just because it hasn't happened he's happy to stay and fight and get back to form.
The Juve stuff was referring to when he signed for us over them back in 2014 mate, not this summer just gone
