In this country Ian

So lets see how many English clubs are after him, I will go for one
"Hi this is the UTD CEO, we'd like to offer £100m for Lukaku"

"No"

"Hi this is the Barca CEO, we'd like to offer £75m for Lukaku"

"No, we've just rejected a £100m from UTD, so no way will we accept that"

"But...but...that's not fair we didn't get the TV money"

"Fair enough, we accept your offfer"

Oh Ian

Can we control whether he gets bought by another premier league team? In other words, can this be an informal part of our negotiating an exit strategy?
Looks like this is where Walsh is really going to earn his salary: replacing him.
We had become too reliant on Rom. I'm shattered he's going. Feels like it puts us back a year and is yet another signal to Koeman that we are functionally Southampton. But we had to figure out a way of breaking into the CL without him sooner or later.

My son is 30 later this year and we have only finished in the top 4 twice in his lifetime.

I hate to say it, but why would the best striker in the Premier League waste another year of a very short career with a mediocre mid-table club like us?

Jesus wept.

If our own fans are thinking like that, no wonder players and managers treat us like stepping stones.
