Romelu Lukaku

Someone made a good point to me in this thread, imagine if you'd had the exact same experience at Everton as Rom had gone through at Chelsea. You then went to another club where the fans showed you the love your fellow Blues never did, but then your performances earned you a chance to go back to League Champions Everton and play in the Champions League, would you go back?

I think most of us would, even with the fans giving us hell the first time
It's a difficult one to answer
Same here, it's like he has an abusive relation with that club. Even now Chelsea fans are denigrating him on social media. I suppose this kind of explains it but after his first experience there; a normal person wouldn't go back:

Watching that video makes me want to see the lads dream come true of playing there as the main man like, fair enough, who are we to deny him that, but I just feel the way he's went about things hasn't done him any favours with us Blues like, he hasn't shown Everton or its fans a lot of respect at times.

He's a massive Chelsea fan and it just so happens that his club are competing for trophies, you cant blame him for wanting to go. He does have to accept that he's under contract and Everton have to benefit from any move too. The £100mill price tag, especially after seeing Pogba fetch a similar price is not an absurd amount as they will be paying for a guaranteed PL goalscorer and also paying for potential.

It really is a kick in the knackers for us, who believed in him when they didn't and backed him when they were taunting him

I'm sure here you're talking about the club and management as opposed to the fans who (a loud minority in fairness) have jumped on his back at every opportunity, embarrassed themselves and been made to look complete morons by Lukaku time and time again over a period of four years both in this thread (even as we speak) and the stands.

Although he'll deal with far more of them at Chelsea, he'll be well rid of ours, at least. Not that he's arsed one bit about them mind.

But you have spent no years plying your trade at Everton.

Rooney is a bigger blue than you or me.

Actually I did.

I offered my services for free regarding the badge situation and spoke for a few hours to the design team.

So I did offer my trade to the club for no monetary return. And I was happy to.

I would have charged Liverpool a fortune.

Not reading what's been posted above, just seeing if anyone else posted Rom pushing out young Lewis in his wheelchair to shake hands with all the players?

He gets called a lot on here, despite him being our best player and best striker for 30 years, but I tell you one thing, he has a heart of gold and a lot of love for our club even if he does eventually leave us. He was a magnificent ambassador for our club today.

Codswallop. The fans ARE the club. Players are just like cattle to a farmer, they serve a purpose.

He put years of effort and training to play for our club.

He is a bigger blue than you and me.

We could say we are better Christians than Jesus, but thats a lie. Jesus died for our sins on the cross to save us and Wayne got sold to save Everton from financial ruin.

Tbf I think that's because he's coming from the Belgian competition. It's normal to talk about the next club you want to go to; fans take no offence. The same thing goes for always giving honest answers in interviews.

The thing with introducing his mother and father as pawns in transfer sagas; that on the other hand is a Lukaku novelty. Also 99 percent of the things he says about Everton in Belgium are of a complimentary nature and they don't get reported by UK media.
