Romelu Lukaku

The club should start considering some course of action against the Evening Standard for their relentless pursuit in unsettling Lukaku and getting him to sign for Chelsea. Ban them from the stadium or something. Every day it's an article on how Lukakus dream is to move back to Chelsea and how he's 'keen' to speak to Chelsea over and over.

Wouldn't sell to Chelsea for a 100m.

Romelu Lukaku has not given up on his dream move back toChelsea as Everton prepare to offer the striker a new deal.

Everton plan to hold talks with Lukaku and his agent Mino Raiola this week.

The Evening Standard is a London paper, I doubt they care what Everton think of them.

so if you were Big Rom and Everton offer you a new contract, you have just watched John Stones clear his locker out for a transfer to City, Big Ron and The Esk have been talking about the new Everton, Marquee signings, Witsel is ours" Mata next, blah blah blah... would you sign? come to think of it if season tickets went on sale tomorrow how many of you would renew or buy afresh? especially after whispers of Moshiri declining transfers for financial reasons start to emerge, because we all know with us the bad rumours are inevitably true.

Declining transfers?

Yes and yes, it's Everton. :)

Agree 100% mate, if I was 'big' Rom I would be scanning GOT everyday, looking for flaws in the esk's posting history. Who needs a new club when you can get 55 likes for some shoite post on here?!

Erm, what are they going to tell him about quality additions/ambition? :coffee:

Everton hope to this week have a clearer indication of Romelu Lukaku’s future as they prepare to tempt the striker with the offer of a lucrative new contract.

Lukaku, a long-time target of former club Chelsea, is set to meet with his representative Mino Raiola in the coming days to discuss his career plans.

And Goodison officials are also expected to hold talks with Raiola, where they will table a new contract in an attempt to secure the Belgium international’s long-term commitment.

Lukaku still has three years remaining on his present deal but the Blues want to reward him for his efforts and send a message they will fight to hold on to their leading talent.

Why Everton's pre-season problems expose myth of their best-ever Premier League squad

Raiola is in England this week as he concludes the £89million world record move of another of his clients, Paul Pogba, from Juventus to Manchester United.

Chelsea remain keen on re-signing the player they allowed to depart for Goodison for £28million two years ago after a season-long loan. Everton, though, have yet to receive an official bid for Lukaku.

Meanwhile, Swansea City defender Ashley Williams is waiting on Everton to return with an improved bid for his services.

The Blues had a £10m bid for the 31-year-old Wales international rejected by the Swans last week.

Sources in South Wales indicate Williams remains keen on a move to Merseyside, but Everton have yet to make an increased offer.
