Romelu Lukaku

Well on his way to world class.

Astonishing how many Evertonians festered on what he lacked, rather than what he could do.

Was the same with Fellaini.

For every performance that he's like this, there's five games he's not. That's the core of the issue I've had with him - he can't be relied on.

If he can do this - or even half of this - in the majority of games, I'd be a fan. He doesn't though.

No player in world football can.

See: Neymar.

Yeah they can - Harry Kane will put in a decent performance nine times out of ten and grab goals - Lukaku will do be unplayable once every so often and anonymous the rest. Kane will never have a game as ridiculously dominant as this, but he'll have very, very good games well more often than Lukaku will.

Hence 'unreliable' - you've can't have 9/10 performances combined with 3/10 performances; you've got to have the 7/10 performances so that you can build a consistent team.

Aye.

Enjoy Cenk Tosun leading the line next season.

... which has nothing to do with the discussion, which was about Lukaku "well on his way to world class".

He's not in my view, for the reasons I've explained.

You should have enjoyed having a genuine potential world class player at the club when he was here being the point - rather than continually picking fault or, festering on what he can't do.

Everton are Everton.

The Lukaku we had is the best we can hope for.

When he was here, when he gave us an extra year... we went and brought in Enner Valancia to support him.

Now we have Cenk Tosun, and OUMAR, OUMAR, OUMAR...

Enjoy.

And the stick he used to get on here. The lads a beast, made up he's showing the world how good he is.

For a second there I thought tonight might be the night people give up the charade here.

More made up stats and fiction though. Yawn.

My view is he is not and never was potentially world class. You differ in your opinion by comparing him to Cenk Tosun instead of world class strikers.

25.

Top scorer at one of/if not the biggest club in the world.
Currently dominating against Brazil in the world cup and could win the golden boot.
