crosses seem to just hit him then he looks puzzled by what happened...'didn't expect that'. Kane would have gobbled 2 of them up. Rom has some great qualities but for a big guy he should score loads more headers than he does
Of course Id love him back at Everton, can think of loads more that I would prefer tho

Got marked out of a game and denied service by a sound defense? Kane blew 2 chances, Rom didnt even get a sniff vs France

Didn't turn up in a big game though.. should of deffo scored or squared it to sterling. They can both battle for the golden boot on Saturday

Really dont think either are too blame for their teams losses
I'd blame Roberto before Rom. On the England side they had about as much creativity as Everton under Allardyce and got bailed out by an unreal set piece conversion rate. Not Kane's fault either. So I agree

Tbf I dont even think Belgium were set up all that poorly, KDB had his worst match of the WC and Felliani fell asleep on a corner. They were hardly dominated

Don't really agree. Belgium resorted to mostly crossing which resulted in next to nothing in terms of chances. The best two opportunities were the Hazard shot wide and the Alderweireld one that was saved. Both were half chances at best. France had Pavard's, the Giroud one that Dembele blocked, the other Giroud one that he shanked plus the goal that were all better chances. France were much better for me

One of the 'expert pundits' said after the Brazil game that he could tell within the first few minutes from Rom's body language that he was up for the game and going to play well - which he did and I think there's some truth in the statement. The France game, though, the first couple of times it was played towards him he was tamely beaten to the ball by a defender and, having seen him many times, I suspect most Evertonians would have known he was going to have one of those games where he barely touches the ball and contributes zilch. Good marking by the French defence no doubt, and their sitting back and not allowing him any space to run into didn't help, but his limitations that we know were exposed for all the world to see.

Still on a different planet to anything we've got though!

Exactly that - the football careens off his bonce and he looks at it in shock like it's a UFO or something.
Think everyone would accept him having a quiet game if he just piped down and stopped reminding everyone of his personality. He'll serve up a stinker, playing with a completely NEA demeanor, sprinting less than the goalkeeper - and then witter on about being a student of the game, constantly looking to improve etc. It's majorly inconsistent, mentally weak, and grist to the mill for those who can't stand the bloke.
