Romelu Lukaku

Would you have him back for 40 mill?

I would for around £30-40m if his attitude was different, but unfortunately he wouldn't be happy being a Plan B, which is all I'd have him back for. The financial outlay is pretty much risk free as you'll always be able to con a mid-table club or foreign club into paying at least the same amount for him due to his goal record.

But I think he'd be toxic at the club if he wasn't made the "main man" and I don't think he'd accept the role of "better version of Niasse" on the bench behind a proper striker.

So overall, the only way I'd have him back for £40m is if we could immediately sell him on for £60m, as there's a profit to be made by flipping him to a gullible club somewhere.

Have a day off lad.

"Plan B"

When we have the chuckle brothers Tosun and Calvert Lewin getting games up top for us.

The Lukaku of Everton would have this side about 6-8 points better off than where we are when you see all those points dropped to gash sides he would have bagged against.

It's weird how Lukaku at the "bigger club" of Manchester United isn't improving them, eh? It's also weird that he all the same excuses he had here are being made for him now.

He wouldn't improve us at all. He'd be a liability. Just because Tosun and DCL may not be good enough for us doesn't mean that Lukaku is - it simply means we need to improve on them too.

The lads about 50 stone mate which is what has imo turned him gash this season. If he was the same fitness level he was at us he would be miles better than what he currently is.

Yes his ball control is average to gash we all know that... but unless we suddenly turn into a top 4 side we aint doing better than Romelu Lukaku I wish Evertonians would wake up and realise that. We'll end up with Callum Wilson or another Tosun in Janaury and people will still be in here with the faux bravado of "ah dat Rom iz gash lad nsno"

I'm saying he got his break in football cos he was far more physically and athletically advanced than his peers.

It's a fact that youth players have been released because their parents are under a certain height... indicating that they will be a certain size. absolutely ridiculous but sadly true.

The toughest obstacle in football is getting that first contract. Once that contract is signed it's much easier. Much easier.

To his credit he is s reasonably good finisher and had bags of pace so he rode that wave but he's nowhere near the level he or some people think he is.
My mam is 5ft 2
My dad was 5ft 5
I’m 6ft and my 2 brothers are taller
Better diets from an early age can make up for genetics

Mate thats delusional, yes he might be better then DCL and Tosun but that dosent mean he is the answer.

As for saying he would have us 6-8 points better off, cant see how, he is at a side with better players now then he had at Everton and has them in a similar mid table slot to we had, he is a massive part of the problem at United, last thing we need is for him to be a problem here.
Its important for Everton he stays at United, we need them to stay behind us and he will guarantee that, agent Rom, doing a job to ruin one of our competitors

He'll do me. All day long. Great little player, ten times the player Lukaku is and would suit our system under Silva brilliantly.

The fact you just used Wilson as an example of a bad alternative to Lukaku is extremely telling.

As soon as the story of him wanting to play for Juventus i think it was, came out month or so ago, storys of him wanting to leave were a cert
The problem for Rom however is that I can't see many clubs forking out the type of money that I think they'll try to recoup, especially when you consider his form.

Add to that, Juventus have Ronaldo and Dybala, and even the ageing Mandžukić offers them a lot. PSG aren't really in the need for him either.

I prefer my striker to actually score goals.

If I want to watch some fast bloke run around I would go follow whatever team employs Usain Bolt.
