Ronald Koeman discussion

According to Balague, Pochettino and Sampaoli are the 2 front runbers for the Barca job.

Also Koeman is always talking about ambition, the only ambition the Arsenal board, or Kronke has is finishing top 4 every year. Arsenal need a young progressive manager imo.

Would be disappointed if Koeman is tempted with anyone else in England. Can understand the lure of Barcelona if they came knocking but he's also onto something potentially exciting here with us. Also, for Barcelona, I feel that with Messi, Iniesta and Suarez not getting any younger, they're not going to be the force that they've been for the pst decade and there'll be a major rebuilding job there soon.

He hasn't won enough as a manager for Barca has he?They will want a proven league and CL winner.I think he may be on their list as a former player and good manager, but not at the top.Anyway I am not worried there would be another manager if he was to leave one year into his project.

I tried to make that point myself a while back but im not sure how much the last few managers had won before they went? But if it seems this one isnt doing so good they might want a winner more then an ex player.

Barcelona like having ex players or staff to manage them. They'll take Ronko because, well, that's just Everton isn't it.

F off Everton.

doesnt seem like he is on the radar really here. nobody mentions him when talking about the new boss in the summer. Valverde and just now Sampaoli are the names I've heard.

right now id just accept a manager who knows tactics which consist of not letting good teams run/walk towards your defense with time to pick a pass or shoot.

Yes while I think Koeman would do well there I just don't think he will be a top three candidate.I expect them to move away from former player or a coach from their system, and go for a proven winner who can rebuild that squad.Remember his time at Valencia was mixed? We shall see but no point worrying now.

That's very good to know. I didn't think to check with one of the Barcelona lids, well in.

As you know better than me the media drives the big clubs in Espana.
