Ronald Koeman discussion

Was proactive in his changes yesterday and it worked again. Calvert lewin wasn't having much on an impact on the 2nd half and we were being put under pressure. Took him off, went 3 at the back which allowed our fullbacks to push forward and add bodies to the midfield. This meant we could press them, give them less time on the ball and force mistakes - the last goal a perfect example.

Ok, the sending off swung it in our favour but I think we were getting to grips with the game before it

No it's not Dave. It's a desperate attempt to get words down on a subject he doesn't cover regularly.

Just like yourself on here recently. Desperate.
His point was that Koeman is being a hypocrite if he's telling Lukaku to respect his contract while he in the past has walked out on clubs and not respected his.

How on earth is he wrong to state that?

While Koeman is the manager of the club it's his duty as an employee to represent the clubs interests absolutely. Whether Koeman himself comes or goes is irrelevant.

...worst case scenario is if he goes at this critical time.
No chance mate. The Peter Principle kicks in at this stage. His competency levels dont go beyond this club. Who bigger than us would have him in all seriousness when you strip away the bias many fans will have over the question?

....i think his stock will be quite high but I understand what you say about it not being high enough for the very top clubs. Saying that, a club like Arsenal might call but you would hope we have enough going for us to keep them at bay.

I cant see Arsenal turning to him, tbh. If I were Arsenal I'd look no further than Diego Simeone.

The Peter Principle suggests that management is promoted one level above its level of maximum effectiveness, so Koeman could well be considered for Arsenal, Man Utd, etc based on those clubs reputations. I can't see that his next move will be a downscaling.
