Ronald Koeman discussion

After having impressed me after an extremely ropey start it seems Ronald is regressing again.

An utterly shocking set up in the derby. Next to no positives.

Tonight? It seemed like he had learnt his lesson. We are positive, take the game to United and deserve our lead and look to be capable of getting more.

Minute 68. Koeman makes his move. A disastrous move. He decides to shut up shop when we are on top. Invites a team of United's quality to have 22 (+4) minutes to lay siege on our box as we camp on the 18 yard box. The inevitable happens due to idiotic behaviour from Williams.

When we camp deep we loose goals. It's happened all season when we have done it.

Koeman is more culpable for the loss of points than Williams. Albeit Williams has let us down (as he has done all nearly all season)

ALL managers have to deal with injuries and suspensions.

No special dispensation I'm afraid.

I know we're 7th and its been an ok season, but I actually do think given his woeful flapping against the big guns he is going to have to prove himself big time here next season.

Season two he's under the microscope from the off.

Lol

Before the game you’d settle for a point, but with how the game went we’re disappointed. We played well, and had a lot of space on the counter-attack – we had to kill the game.

We were terrific in our defending. Yes, it is really painful. It’s a penalty, but one minute before the end, it’s always painful.

United took all of the risk, but still we defended well. They didn’t create open chances and I was really confident in our organisation. We missed the final pass in the second half.

I am pleased by the performance but I did not expect a reaction from the derby because I was proud of the team. I still am. We had seven from 18 players aged 22 or under today. We got one point, maybe we deserved three, but a point is not bad.

Good post, well balanced and without an agenda unlike half the goons who bleat about him every day.

He got it wrong again, no denying that from anybody.

I'll deny it.

He got it spot on until the 80th minute.

It was a great performance by the side until then.

That's not to blame it on DCL, but it was a poor sub.

He is not regressing in any way.

We have lost two games in 12. We have got a point when we in a way deserved three but it happens.

We've got a massive game against Leicester now that will be extremely tough.

You're all knee-jerking if you're disappointed we got a point from OT.

What's disappointing is how it happened. That's it.

When he can bring the likes of Pogba and Mhikiboy off the bench then he'll be judged accordingly.

Poor decisions tonight, I'm sure he knows that. He'll take us to the glory land and the vaults will be visited with much elation

Agree with this. He's being written off as too cautious at the top 6 - well he is cautious because he clearly doesn't have the quality in the squad that those above us do and I suspect deep down doesn't trust what he has to go toe to toe.

Big summer window, if he spends well and still over cautious I will judge then. For me this season however overall is 'objective met' and in cold light of day one I would have taken the day after 2015/16 season ended.

I look forwards to next year with RK in charge.
