3 big games in 6 days.

I think we should give Koeman a break and show some faith. Look ahead to the games vs Spurs and United, get a result there and then go on a run.

International break will do us good.
With the exception of seamus would any or all of those players changed the way he set up today. i doubt it, same result give or take.

I think a lot of the angst from today is a bunch of different things that compounded themselves. It was "you need to wait until he has HIS team". This is HIS team now and we're terrible. "They need to get physically fit". He's been here over a year, how are they NOT fit? "He doesn't have the squad for HIS tactics". A)this is HIS team and B) nobody has ANY idea what HIS tactics even are. We don't press, we are still pretty much immobile off the ball, we don't really do anything better than another manager in the PL era has done. We're OK at the back but that is in spite of our tactics which have 2 limited CB's making our line a lot deeper than we should have and invite pressure.

Patience -- you can't expect all the results instantly even if they're mainly players he's signed. He's also said we need a striker, and it's plain for anyone to see that a striker knits the whole thing together.

Agree to some extent on fitness and pressing, but I also don't see many people complaining about that. The defence is far better than 'OK'. CBs are ageing but still good enough for where we want to be at this stage.

They whinged about Martinez they whinged about Moyes now they whinge about Koeman, Walter smith was crap, Howard kendalls second and third spells were awful, Mike walker was a disaster Colin Harvey failed. There's a common theme going on here. I'm not even saying it's entirely wrong none of them achieved anything. For all the Americans and other Johnny come latelys welcome to Everton of the last 30 years. Join in and slate the manager it's what we do.

He needs to sort out the quick passing and lack of movement. Everytime we come under a bit of pressure from an opposing player, we panic and either overhit/underhit a pass or launch it aimlessly.

The players are technically good enough to keep the ball now so there is no excuse, although the lack of movement from anyone means that the player on the ball has no options. Its a vicious circle. I would have thought Koeman, having played the type of football he did, would appreciate the pass and move aspect.

I don't know what's going on behind the scenes. Nor does anybody else except those behind the scenes. But from the outside looking in, allowing your main striker and main source of goals to leave without a replacement lined up is not good enough. The striker should have been a priority, one that should have been solved way before the season commenced.

I'm hopeful we'll get something done before deadline day, but the fact is some of his other purchases will be questionable if we end up with a completely bang average centre forward.

And even then.. does a striker solve our lack of pace? Lack of cutting edge? Slow tempo? No runners from midfield? A few weeks ago Sigurdsson was the key, now it's a striker. In another month will it be the return of Bolasie and Coleman? All net spend arguments aside, he's been backed more than any manager in my lifetime financially. I expect some guts and fight. Our "big game" attitude stinks. Just what you want when you hopefully want to go deep in Cup competitions and push on in the league.
