"Ok Dominic, here's your big chance, show me what you can do in your preferred position against Man City tonight"

"Wow well done Dominic, you exceeded expectation tonight and feel you've got real potential as a CF, so I'll pop you on the wing next game, might drop you for the one after that, all Ok?"

Nice one Ronald.

Well it would stomp all over what was served up today.
I was thinking the same when people were mentioning injuries Morgan and Seamus and bolasie might have made a bit of a difference but not to the extent of us winning the game

That's right. Choose one of two options then scrap to the death on here until only one options stands. Some of us, the best of us, will adjudicate from the fence and polarise you the best we can. One day you'll appreciate our sacrifice.

A big name striker and they'll all be creaming themselves again.

Good post Bungle. I think a lot of us are losing confidence in big Ron's footballing nous.

That first season he was with them - They actually had a cracking team

Forster, Clyne, Fonte, Alderweireld, Bertrand, Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Tadic, Mane, Long,Pelle,

I would class that as being better than our current team - Not sure what to make of that

Is a cracking side that.

We have definitely improved the playing staff (apart from Lukaku), but there doesn't appear to have been a plan on where everyone plays.
We sign a bunch of players, but we haven't got a plan on what pattern of play we will set out with.
Has Koeman just been given new players and told to get on with it, or are these his first picks?
It's obvious to all of us where we need strengthening and the lack of pace, yet here we are 2 weeks in to the season and we feel worse off than last season, that can't be right considering the new signings and feel good factor of spending £100m.
I think we judge at the end of this week when we see who else (if anyone) comes in, perhaps he is factoring in when all the injured players are available?
Either way he needs to up the ante because I see his honeymoon is well and truly over.

not if 9 of them where camped in our own final 3rd
He'd be playing the 4-3-3 if he could. But not convinced of what he's got at the moment.
The side is in full on development mode atm.
He would have got a lot of today's game - who is up to it, who is not; what players need to work on.
Davies was defensively clueless in the centre.
Holgate will unlikely be given that role again.
Sandro is so out of form he's best spending the first half of season away from Goodison.
CL has pretty much knocked down the door.
Rooney needs Schneids around him.
Mirallas, then Lennon, now Lookman gets his chance.

So we've gotten to the group stage, got 4 points out of our first 3, two of which were away to Chelsea and Man City, and because we had a bad half with half of our lineup as new players of which not all are fit, we are THAT concerned? On top of that, we had 4 or 5 first teamers hurt or out. We likely have two more coming in as well.

Think some of you might be overreacting a bit.
