Ronald Koeman discussion

Brendan Rodgers mk II

A man seemingly fortunate to have a top striker to get him through a season.

He was asking for a replacement though so the board are to blame too.

Nothing will be the same they told us though?

Time to go now I think.
There I have said it.
We haven't a clue what we are doing.
How are we supposed to be playing? What style? We don't press or pass, there is zero pace.
Players look disinterested and fed up, get him out before too much damage is caused.

We were very poor indeed today. Hardly surprising, though. We sold our only goalscorer for £90million to cover what we'd spent on Pickford et al, but we didn't replace him.

Having said that, Spurs were runners up last year.

So hard to find a good coach nowadays.

When Koeman joined us almost everyone is happy and think he will be a good manager, due to his track record at Southampton. Pocchetino is another good manager from Southampton, so I guess most of us would have thought that they would be on a similar level.

But today's match showed that they are in 2 totally different classes.

One manager trusted the youth, played with aggression which players know how to press, brought in good players with almost zero net spend.

Another manager would rather play a free agent instead of a young promising player, tried to play aggression but player don't know how to press, have huge financial support but failed to find the player they need.

Has to prove he can turn this around.

Tbf he has a very unbalanced squad to work with.

He may or may not have had something to do with that.

When the team had 0 shot on target and abysmal lack of chances created, the responsibility lies with the manager and nobody else. He is the one who created this unbalance team in the first place. Rooney Klasen siggy combining fee of 80m while trying to get rid Barkley who is far more effective than the 3 of them combine.
