Ronald Koeman discussion

Massively under pressure. Not willing to change his style of player. No pace, no width. Playing number 10's everywhere. Absolutely shocking. If we get smashed on Sunday which I think we will then he is very close to the sack for me. Simply not acceptable these performances.

Will sacking him make us score goals and create chances? Will we attract a better manager?
Moyes mate! Manchini, Pelegrini, Blanc and Tuchel are the only managers I can think of that are available. I think if he does get the boot then whoever comes in will have a hard time making us a prolific goal scoring team with what we have got unless they come in before the January window. This is Everton though, he won't be sacked unless the bad form continues and until we're out of the Europa league and the domestic cups at least!

Not Moyes mate lol deffo not Moyes

I have got no idea what he is trying to do. Koeman has created a system where, despite 6 defensive players on the park the opposition have acres of space in wide areas and our full backs are totally exposed. Players who can carry the ball forward (Vlasic, Davies, Sandro, Mirallas, Lookman) are mostly unused or used ineffectively and as a result we are so pedestrian with the ball that we have no cutting edge whatsoever. The buying strategy seems to have been to get what look like good players but with no thought to how they will play as a team.

In reality, we have lost Barry and Lukaku (sold) and Barkley (injury) from the team that lost only one game at home last season yet instead of maintaining some continuity, we have made changes all over the park. Due to Europe, we've played quite a few games now but I can't see any discernible pattern of play or understanding between players developing.

We do have players that can provide width. Kenny, lookman, Mirallas. We need to drop 2 out of 3 number 10 in order to make this team balance. Once there is natural width in the team, chances will come naturally and confidence will improve and the team can start playing a regular pattern with fix position that is much less confusing. The biggest problem we have now is a manager that refuse to do so. He is destroying and preventing us to play to our full potential.
1 shot on target in 3 games says it all.

Pretty dire stuff he is serving up, only going to get worse. I thought we might struggle with our tough PL opening & bedding in new players; possibly 15th or so come the end of Oct. But not playing like this. Worrying times.
