Ronald Koeman discussion

I know I'm in the minority here, but I supported Roberto to the end. Even though there were glaring problems, we (aside from 4 or 5 games) always played good football. I'm absolutely convinced we'd be in better shape now if he'd been given the money Koeman's had to spend.

What I'm seeing now, I don't even think the players he's signed either know how or want to play for him.

Come on Mr Moshiri, do it now!

Some revisionism there. We played some utter dross under Martinez those last 2 years. His last season at home was an absolute chore to sit through.

LOL - Martinez would of bought more kones and cleverleys of this world. It would be madness to think he would buy better. Don't get me wrong not all koemans are flawless, but still Martinez na no way ozay.

Team hasn't felt right since after Martinez's first season. Then was the time perfect time to invest in the squad. Opportunity missed, and we've been playing catch up since.

Always easy to start amounting players who leave for success to nothing, but seeing Lukaku and Stones become match winners for their respective club really hurts. Okay these players can leave but to not adequately replace them is shocking. When you lose players like Fellaini, Stones, Lukaku and soon to be Barkley, don't replace players who have gone past their best - Jagielka, Baines, then any manager is going to struggle.

Still want Koeman to turn things around, but the gap between us and the top has got bigger largely by no fault of his own. I believe he wanted more players in the summer and we didn't get them. We missed key targets last Summer. We can't keep doing that every year. No shock that the managers who've been fully backed this Summer are the ones thriving. Maybe, just Maybe, a defender, winger and Striker would have been the missing pieces of the puzzle. It would be a shame if we never got to find out. Koeman has to do better, but so does everyone at the club. It's all equal blame for me.
