What would have made me happy tonight, a 1-0 defeat. We put a real shift in and ok we lose but we match them, have chances, not our day etc. In fact what jagielka said win ugly except lose ugly but at least put 90 minutes in.
Thinking about that last point, when was the last time an Everton team genuinely out a 90 minute performance in? Not start half an hour in or when we concede but start and finish a game with the same good attitude? Can't think of one in 5 years and yes that does include Martinez first season
