For the 100th time, it's not what he said, we all know it, it's why he bothered to belittle us in the first place. Some of us love this club like family yanno.

I'm agreeing with you mate, what I'm pointing out is how some people don't see a problem in what he said, I've actually got a problem with it because, as you say, it's coming across as belittling us.

Apologies mate, I wasn't thinking...

I've always pictured you as a thinker mate!

Not sure what's been said here, however, I'm agreement with Koeman and we can speculate over a couple scenarios. Indeed its now time to put pressure on the board for January, significant targets should now be scouted and in our sights. Lukaku will be at the stage of his contract in summer if he wants out we will cash in, any chance of him staying, this is the window to convince him otherwise.

I wouldn't be surprised if Koeman ain't too fussed about Rom being sold - as in he wouldn't fight to keep hold of him.

Reason being is that he's not entirely the right striker to play his brand of football.
I think it's worth reminding ourselves that Koeman signed Charlie Austin, who struggles to get out of bed in the morning and is less mobile than my nan, before we start making pronouncements about how he only wants turbo charged strikers who work like Denis stracqualursi on acid.

The mans not a fool, and i'm pretty sure he recognises talent when he sees it.

Those who shrug their shoulders at this and say "Ah well its the truth, innit" are missing the point.

More to the point they are doing Everton, its fans , the club, a disservice.

I was thinking about this before, and it struck me. Everton are the 4th most successful club side in England, we do have many things to be proud of. It just seems that for me, we dont big ourselves up as much as we should. Even we have begun to believe 'little old Everton'

The truth is, there is not many bigger than Everton. Koeman should remember this.

The only reason that this has made such a big splash, is because there are people who still view us as a big club. Comments like this are controversial and therefore newsworthy. If Lukaku played for Burnley and their manager came out with the same no one would bat an eyelid.

I just wish Koeman subscribed to those views.

agreed, which makes Koeman even more of a dick for saying what he has
