Laporta appointed Txiki, Soriano & Pep - they are 2 key reasons why he opted for City but not the only ones. Returning home to Catalunya & his club, many more than 2 reasons to do so

They are the only reason he opted for City. Without them there is no way on this god's earth Pep would have rocked up at the Etihad. None.

It’s still Koeman and Walsh’s fault we’re crap. Their horrific mismanagement and short sighted signings set us back years.

Imagine if we’d had five summers like the one we just had, signing four quality players, we would absolutely be top 4 this season.

The main reason City has Pep is because the Sheikhs began building Barca-lite prior to his arrival by first acquiring other Barca personnel in Txiki & Ferran

Then, the allure of Premiership/England, unlimited financial resources and ownership that would not interfere

United were never a realistic option due to an ineffective corporate structure & Chelsea with a meddlesome owner were the only other possible destinations in England after success in Bundesliga with BM

Myopic take to think those are the only 2 factors involved

Literally the oppsite type of buys they should be making with an ageing squad.

Hes also popped up today to claim the media are against him and hes not being supported by the board.

Barca seem on the brink unless they bring through a new core of younger players.

He barely managed to get 3rd in a 3 team league with Messi netting 30 times to carry them. Messi leaves and he won’t make it to Christmas, assuming he’s still in charge at the start of the season.
