Ronald Koeman Sacked

..Mosh must read GOT.

I wouldn’t go for Ancelotti. We need a manager with a record of building a side not somebody who inherits a group of top players at a top club. I wonder if Ancelotti still has the hunger and desire to lead Project Everton.

It’s a risk whoever we go for but availability has to be a concern even if Everton is an attractive proposition. In the short-term I at least expect Unsworth to improve the atmosphere in the dressing room and get the teams attitude right. I’d also expect him to get them better organised.

Wasn't expecting that at all. Fair play to the board making a tough decision, our money spent on managers must be astronomical over last few years. Because of this I can't see us poaching another manager who is already at a club, so who are we left with on the manager merry go around:

Fat Sam (better start calling him Big Sam need to show some respect)
Carlo
Shady Harry
Unsy
Moyesie

I think i need to lie down, least Hodgson got a job before we could snap him up.

Not too sure about going for an Ancelloti type. I doubt he would have the hunger required to build a team. His last few appointments he's had ready made teams at his disposal in leagues where it's pretty straight forward. I think we need someone who wants to prove themselves and has that passion and desire to do so. You could argue that Koeman should have been that person but with his constant putting the club down, and blaming everyone else, meant his sacking was inevitable as soon as results went south.

But that's not the sort of mid-season risk we can afford to take. We need someone who can come in, accept what they have for a few months, do a full review for the Board about playing resources and get us playing a discernible style. For me he's EXACTLY what is needed.

Unfortunately Koeman never endeared himself to the fans from day one.

He did nothing to dispel the suggestion, that he was only ever going to be passing through on his way to Barcelona ( that looks a long long way off now ).

He never got us and we never took to him.

I don't think he'll be looked back on with any real emotion, either way.

He'll be remembered more for spunking a load of money on players that turned out to be unsuited / not good enough for Everton Football club.

Jesus.....that looks like an awful pool of managers to chose from........come back Ronald all is forgiven!

I honestly see Tuchel as being another Martinez

I'd be very wary of him

I do have my concerns in that regard, Mikey, aye.

He too had a world-class striker at Dortmund that got him out of trouble.

Just not keen on going with Dyche, Allardyce or *gulp* (if Bill has his way) Moyes!

Ideally, Unsworth gives a great account of himself and you just never know.
