  • yes, he'll get us top 6 and stability

  • no, it's uninspiring even if top 6 is back on

Am no Kopite mate! Had a Season Ticket in the Park for years before I moved away. I just think that Koeman is hardly an ambitious appointment. Just think what DM could do with the transfer budget that's being afforded to Koeman? He was starved by Kenwright for years until he was forced to move to a big club to spend a bit of cash. Now that we have some money in the bank and we're a big club again, surely he's the logical appointment

You are no kopite! are you Mrs Moyes ?

All the popcorning over payets injury only for him to bag the winner was a bad piping down.

Meh. It happens. Nobody would have 'popcorned' had West Ham fans not started thinking it was the worst thing to ever happen in footballing history.

The bad meffs

saints fan here come in peace

I like cowman*, he is decent manager, prob the 5th or 6th best Saints manager we've had in the last 10 years. Easily top 10, in any case.

£5m seems quite a lot of cheddar tho don't it? It's not my money, but when you think you could constructive dismissal Eva Caneiro like four times over for that money, or, to look at it another way, appoint an infinite number of De Boers, which I suppose is what we'll do, it puts it all into Perspective. Crazy business.

* Cowman is his real name in Dutch. It's not because he's cattle herder, his granddad used to dress up as a cow and trick dairy maids into "milking" him. That is how they got the name Cow Man.

...Looks at username and awaits crushing Ban Hammer.

Now Le tissier on the bbc saying he's gone for the money etc. They really do think they're something special. We don't think that we're a massive club, we used to be when we were winning leagues when I was a young kid, and thankfully it looks like we're starting to show some ambition to get back up there. But when saints fans try and tell us we're not and say he's gone for the money and it's a sideways step etc, of course we're gonna come back with digs and gloat about the fact that we are the 4th most successfull club in England to wind them up.

When Moyes left for UTD I said fair enough and good riddance. If a player or manager wants to move on then it's up to them, a manager leaving Southampton for Everton will always be a step up unless they start actually winning things, Koeman feels he has a better chance of doing that at Everton and rightly so. Bigger fan base and a bigger name to attract players.

This wouldn't of even been a discussion 2 seasons ago ffs

Actually you're a Southampton supporter - thanks for visiting.

There really are some pitiful pant pissers amongst English football fans right now.

If you want to settle the bigger club argument you only need to look at the respective reactions from the two club's fans.

Evertron are almost nonchalant whereas they have turned into smited bunny boilers.

Tremendous show, can't wait to do this to another club for their manager soon. Hope Koeman spews the opportunity and quick smart.
