I think that’s all true but it’s also that you used to see videos of Ronaldo precisely weighing out his food whilst Rooney was powering his way through a packet of biftas and Necking about 15 pints of lager . Genes are definitely playing a part but it would seem naive to dismiss lifestyle .

Just to add it’s absolutely none of my business how Rooney lives and he’s not in peak playing condition but he’s certainly in better nick that most of that fat knackers I’ll be having a beer with Saturday , me included .

Oh, for sure, mate... Rooney's always looked the type to enjoy a few pints with the lads on the weekend.

Whereas Ronaldo, a textbook anal-retentive tit, has always looked the type who gives himself a daily cleansing enema to flush his system.
