Rooney

Oh can we all just ******* well let it go!!!!!

Rooney is an Evertonian, he has left Everton to further his career, and he is doing so. The numbless pricks who decide to completely **** him off constantly are the reason he reacts the way he does.

But mark my words, the boy is and always will be an Evertonian. That will never leave him.

He left Everton when they were struggling. Tipped for relegation. Man U come knocking, who wouldn't go?

Once a blue, now a manc.

He shows absolutely no respect for his former club whatsoever, even when Man Utd score at Goodison he makes no attempt to congratulate the scorer, he just runs straight towards the Everton fans to goad them. He's a ******* scum bag, a disgrace to the City of Liverpool and a disgrace to Merseyside.

The words 'horrible [Poor language removed]' are both suited to him and the club he plays for.

Some of you think there is still some loyalty towards Everton inside of him, how wrong you are! He is as much a fan of Utd as he is a player for them nowadays. He kisses the manc badge in front of you all in an attempt to goad you and still some of you hold nothing against the horrible, betraying ****?!?

He was brought up as an Everton fan, but he was not brought up to regard things like loyalty and honour.

Would Rooney kiss his Man utd badge if Evertonians didn't rip him and his family to pieces? I seriously doubt it.

I think we look at is as football fans without looking at the bigger picture. He has a right to stick up for himself and a lot of people would do the same. Especially when his family and personal life is being brought into it.

As I said it works both ways, he like other footballers in similar situations he is simply sticking up for himself.

I was thinking that same thing Tezza.

I could see him finishing his career with us.

Then you obviously don't know the real Wayne Rooney.

He is living the dream nowadays, flash car, flash house, fit wife, high celebrity status and loads of money etc.

But none of the above will ever change him as a person. His upbringing shaped him as a person. Underneath it all he's just an ignorant scally, thats all he is and it's all he ever will be, no matter what he achieves on the football pitch.

& thats why he will never return to Everton. Not having a dig, thats just my opinion.

Wind yer neck in Kopite. It's like family this one: it's ok for us to have a go but not an outsider like you.

I hope he buries you lot tomorrow.

I can understand him leaving when he did because he'd been arguably the player of the tournament at Euro 2004 and we had finished in 17th place, looking pretty dire for the coming season. I don't really have a problem with that.

What has been sad however is the lack of grace he's shown on so many occasions. I know that he's probably copped a lot of stick but I don't suppose he's had any more than other returning players, Sol Campbell when he returns to Spurs for instance. Kissing the badge etc. is so commonplace now as to be almost meaningless so that doesn't even bother me too much, but if I recall he acted the spoilt brat on the Alan Ball day when Ball's kids were presented to the crowd. It's one thing for Rooney to have a pop at the club or the fans but I feel he disrespected the memory of Alan Ball that day. It showed a distinct lack of class.

But as the saying goes, you don't hate those you don't care about, and I suspect that goes both ways in the reactions shown by both sides in this. For me I'm past caring about him. He's a United player now and we as a club have improved no end since he left so he is very much part of the past and will remain there for me.

That's a balanced and sensible stance.

Just to add, we should also be thankful for the £27M investment poured into the club. Without it we would have been knackered seeing as other forms of investment haven't materialised.

Quite. I think with hindsight it's difficult to see his move as being anything but good for the club. I feel that now we're in a much better position to keep hold of a talent such as Rooney than we were when we had him, and hopefully this will enable us to build a team around the likes of Rodwell, Gosling, Baxter et al. We do need that investment though or I fear we'll be back there again before long, despite the success we've had on the pitch.

I don't remember Graham Stuart ever getting booed and ripped to pieces by 40,000 Blues. I honestly think the majority of us would do the same. I certainly wouldn't stand there and let people rip into myself, my family and my bird. It just wouldn't happen, naturally I'd react to the situation and I'm sure others would.

It works both ways really. We do it to him and he does it to us, he has every right to stick up for himself.

& why didn't Graham Stuart get booed & ripped to pieces by 40,000 blues? Because he showed class in the build up to him leaving & when he left. If somebody pisses on my football club I'm going to give him abuse for it, he's a professional football player & he should act in a professional manner but that's just not Rooney's way. Continuing the example, would Stuart have reacted in the same way had he been booed? I don't think he would have.

Rooney brought the abuse on himself by the way he acted & if he was a true professional he'd rise above any stick but he's not so he wont, he'll do things on purpose to make the abuse worse & so I'll show no mercy when he plays against us. If he'd have acted in a proper manner he'd barely get any of it yet he still gets abuse from near enough every blue in the stadium because of him continually rubbing our noses in it.

Neville, i dont think one Evertonian likes Rooney but most of us admit what a great player he is. For me personally, it was'nt the fact he joined United that i dislke him so much. It was in the manner he left and what followed, ie ripping into Moyes and the distain he shows towards blues fans now. I would love to ask him the questions, do you still have affections for Everton and are you still proud to be a scouser? It really annoys me when United fans sing about hating scousers yet they have one in their squad and he is their second best squad player behind Ronaldo.
