ROONEY

Hes not played against any quality in there, gets caught in possession a fair bit aswell. Just for the fee and wages, hes not worth it imo.

His chance was a few years ago when he couldve come on a free
So how much they selling him for and how much we paying him ?????

Purely as a footballer absolutely, great technically and a winner.

Depends on cost though his value would still be high as would be his wages.

But what a statement of intent if it did ever happen that would make the whole world pay attention.

It's a yes from me.

No should have stayed if he wanted to play for the blues.gave the best years of his life to the red side so tanks but no tanks.no nice lil retirement package for him at everton so he can tick the last thing off his to do list.new owners, new manager and with plenty of talented young blues coming through we march on.:)

Don't see it happening.
Mourinho will want to keep him and it is a deal that might eat up more of our budget than would make sense.

The positives.
He is still a very good player and would improve our team in a number of positions.
It would be the marquee signing that would make the media sit up and take notice.
He still has another two or three seasons left as a premiership player, but as a no. 10.rather than striker.

I've said he'll be back for beards.

He's Pete Rose - Pete went back to Cincinnati, and Rooney will end up in a blue shirt.
Hope Wayne doesn't end up selling signatures and snaps in a Vegas shopping mall, though there are worse things.

I think it's more realistic now though than it was back then. We can pay anything up to 200k a week if rumours are to be believed so the wage cut wouldn't be as much of an issue. We've needed a proper captain for years as well, he'd instantly sort that out and it'd be a real statement of intent.

We should give him an ultimatum and just say it's now or never.

"Rooney: I will never play for another Premier League club" in FourFourTwo published 9 June 2016.

He's not interested in playing for any other team, including us.

I think there's about as much chance of this happening as Lukaku's dad shutting his mouth.

He didn't say he wouldn't come back to everton though

I'd hate to give him 200k or anything near it. We dont need him and we dont need him at the prices we'd pay.

I think he's brilliant at centre mid and will only get better there. Bossed it against us in the semi and then again in the final and been impressive there for England too.
It would be the ideal experience to blend with our younger players. I don't think we will get him this year though and next will be too late. I would estimate two seasons left for him mixing it with the best.
