Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

Makes his return here almost a certainty.

Lampard will be looking elsewhere at this rate when their ban ends on transfers. No other club in the top 6 will take the chance on Ross.

Whisper it, but Barkers is almost as good as Goodison bound next summer. And we'll get him and get his best years in the game.
You're forgetting why he left, he had to go 'for his health' and the instigators of his 'health scare' are still here

Dave, your dream of Ross running the midfield whilst Roberto the maestro masterminds from the touchline is never going to happen mate. Move on fella.

Different player now Ross usually just passes it short and sideways, the running with the ball has almost vanished completely from his game.
He can get that back; he's more rounded as a player now.

RB doesn't have the confidence to impact at a CL level club (the ability, yes).

He'd be ideal for us, and he wouldn't be overawwed here.

Matter of time before this happens IMO.
