Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

Oh there's still something there, but unfortunately it can't be relied on regularly enough to make it worth carrying him when he's not doing the best that he is capable of. Not a terrible player, just always been at clubs that have aspirations greater than his capabilities.

I think he needs to be a big fish in a little pond to showcase his abilities. Probably a decent big Championship team is the top level where he'd shine. Villa is a bit too big for him and the requirements for a player in a Chelsea squad are certainly too demanding for him. I certainly would be looking at something better for Everton if he was on offer, even if there was no baggage with him and the club.

Jack Grealish was on the same trajectory as Barkley, a young player with an undoubted talent, but a bellend off the pitch and a result a career that could go one of two ways.

Grealish got his arse into gear and is now a potential 100 mil player, courted by the biggest clubs, Barkley didn`t and is now a potential 10 mil player, who`ll be more than likely be playing on loan for someone like Bournemouth next year.
 
Why come in here every 4 months when he gets a goal or assist giving it the large fan boys?

Or if you have finally discovered a pair of eyeballs and see that he's crap then have the courage to come on and take back your guff.

Kind of a statement to say they don't think he is for their level. Or has done something stupid again outside of the club.

Seeing they could be losing Grealish you'd think they would see him as a replacement for that creative role, so he's messed up another chance. On to West Ham and Newcastle now.
