I always visit cathedrals/churches/mosques when I go abroad if I can. Not religious at all but they’re always incredible buildings. Not for everyone but it doesn’t make them not a highlight of a city.
I always visit the football grounds. You see parts of town off the beaten track. Prague was good. They have loads of clubs!

Pubs. I’m a crap tourist, usually find a good local and that’ll do me.

I’ll be in Rome in a couple of weeks time if anyone knows any good boozers (not English and definitely not Irish theme bars thank you )

Henry VIII's fourth wife was from the Cologne part of Germany. She was the longest lived of that fat pestilent prick's wives...she saw Mary I ascend the throne.
He married her based on a miniature portrait by Holbein which, to say the least, flattered her.
When she arrived for the wedding he was repulsed by her looks.

He had the marriage annulled due to lack of consummation, but at least she avoided the block and had a comparatively comfortable life, treated as his "sister".

yes, she avoided the block...but Thomas Cromwell, Henry's Chief Minister, (who recommended her as a wife), was not so fortunate.
