Regardless of the way he exited, people don't seem to grasp that he's just not a good footballer anymore. There's a reason Villa didn't keep him, why no one wanted him last summer, and why Tuchel didn't give him a sniff hardly this season. He's finished. Injuries, lack of motivation, uncoachable, they've all played a part in that fact.

We need younger player who are hungry, being a club that throws lifelines to has-beens (or never weres) is exactly why we're in the sorry state we're in.
