I agree, but I feel the club are in urgent need of reinforcements in midfield and do not have the money to sign them. He is inconsistent but, for free he could bring energy to a midfield that really needs it.

I would take him on a free because our midfield is so gash, be nice to have someone who can actually keep the ball at their feet for longer than 2 seconds.

Using the argument that he wasn't good enough for Chelsea is odd given they are levels above us.

We are relegation candidates until we prove otherwise, we are also broke. Barkley is more than good enough for a broke ass lower table team. He would be our best midfielder instantly, that's how bad our midfield is.

Not only didn't want him - but criticised his professionalism at Chelsea.
