WARNING: I liked Dan Gosling, thought he could offer us something. I liked Barkley. Both proved themselves out for themselves and f&*^(d us over.. Players like that rarely end up achieving much, full stop.

But, Everton is bigger and more important than my opinion, so what can help Everton? Well, Ross at his best, paid zip until he delivers. So:

Sign for buttons.
Train like a DOG.
Once conditioned give him a chance.
Misbehaves?
Gone.

Can someone bullet point me reasons for the Ross hate please? How did he go from diamond to gravel?
Pretending to be injured on contract to avoid sales - whilst really just holding out for massive salary and leaving on a free. Revolting way to treat boyhood club that build him.

As much as I agree with the small rodent thing, we have to ask, would he improve the side?
The answer is yes, not because of how great he is but because of the complete lack of alternatives at the club.

We can only hope we are looking at alternatives.

This is a deal that would be very easy to do, I would guess that Chelsea would listen to any kind of a deal to move the player on, even contribute some wages possibly.
Barkley seems to have very few options and probably would feel that he would soon be forgiven if he started playing well... he would probably be right.

It is a deal Everton could afford.

Yep beggers can't be choosers so why not bring in another "squad" player. The whole squad are squad players bar Pickford, Tarkowski, Gordon and hopefully Myko. It's where we're at sadly.

We can hope that is not where we are... but it certainly doesn't look promising.

I think you are being harsh on DCL calling him a squad player, Godfrey as well.

Because there has been absolutely no information coming from the club apart from a vague message from Moshiri and an equally vague one from the manager we don't know if we can afford to spend and money worthwhile.

When you hear of stories about trying to arrange loan deals, free transfers but not much else it is understandable there is negativity amongst fans.

This is doubly so when our best player is sold and his fee seems to be swallowed up just to keep us out of trouble.

Just one decent signing would lift the mood, but there isn't decent rumour around never mind a signing.
