Don't think he has a problem with opponents trying to stop him. It's when teams park the the bus and he has no room to do anything from the No.10 role or out wide. In such games I believe he should play deeper next to McCarthy. It's not like in such games we need 2 holding mids.

Absolutely this. Having him deeper against the parked bus allows him to run at people with the ball in his feet. There was a game earlier this season where it was the difference for us breaking down that parked bus...can't remember which one for the life of me.

It's the area of his game that really needs work,he has to realise a half hearted jog is not closing down.Last night was a big improvement.hope it continues Sunday
