Ross Barkley

In all seriousness though, he's the most gifted footballer i've ever seen at Wednesday in years.

Fantastic to watch, the ball sticks to him, his change of pace and direction is mesmorising, he never loses the ball always manages to skip away from a tackle and create something.

He started of quite slowly with us, looked a bit naive and lacking in confidence, for example you'd urge him to take a player on or push forward but he would go back and play a safety ball, nothing wrong with that but you could tell he was capable of better.

But as each game has gone on he's just got better and better, the last two performances he's been by far the best player on the pitch. His confidence is there for us all to see and he isn't afraid to try or do anything with the ball, he has all the attributes to be a top class player.

Hopefully we can keep him until the end of the season, cannot see it happening because he shouldn't be playing in the Championship as it is. For 18 years old he's something special.

Thanks for that mate, I actually reckon it'd be better for him to stay for the season and get regular footy rather than sitting on our bench.

What is it with you lot and ABBA? see the owlstalk link 2 pages back.

Good luck for the season. I've got a lot of time for Wednesday and Dave Jones. Good traditional club and a good Evertonian in charge.

Owls, mate, owls

Remind me again how long it actually took for both of these things to happen?

Cahill went on a period of 12 months without scoring, and Coleman is our right back purely because Hibbert is not fit at the moment.

So 'not immediately' and 'never' mean the same thing now?

You want to be frustrated about how slow Moyes is about replacing old players with younger ones, then I'm right with you. He's far far too cautious about doing it. But to say it never happens is just stupid. Barkley might only make our first team a year or two after he should but he will make it.

ABBA have some good songs which can be converted into chants, i'm not sure that forum is bonkers.

Good luck to Everton aswell, always been one of my favourite Prem teams, i have alot of respect for Dave Moyes. Wish you all the best this season, hopefully without Ross Barkley! :D

Who Kitted him you monsters?

Thanks mate. I've had a little flick through your forum occasionally and like you've said he seems to be getting better with every game. He really needed this to pick his confidence up and get used to top level football week in week out.

'we love you barkley, we do
we love you barkley, we do
we love you barkley, we do,
well... for at least a week or two.'

Thats was the best one i saw :D

Would people like to see him back here in January or leave him with Wednesday for the rest of the season?

I would personally like him to stay for the rest of the season, if what's been said here is anything to go by his confidence is growing and growing and he's more likely to play week in week out at Wednesday than he is here, which is vital for his development.

Hopefully next season he will finally be starting for us ahead of Neville.
