so is Lukaku and Sterling -( 19) and quite a few players in the Spanish La Liga - age has nothing to do with the argument - or has it ?

Postion does tho.

Playing upfront or on the wing is so much easier than playing CM in the Premiership.

Strikers just have to poke the ball into the net, Wingers just need to run down the wing.

19 year old George Thorne has been playing def mid for WBA in their last couple of games as an acadamy player -
my point is just that age as such should not be a barrier unless you have someone else clearly better in that position already in which case the youngster should only get as much gametime as possible when the opportunity arises - neither happened for Barkley -
but lt is senseless arguing about it now - he is gone - only time will tell whether it was the right decision -
a few injuries or even transfers can change the whole scenario

I think it's best to trust Moyes really. If he didn't know what he was doing with youth you'd expect at least a few of the ones he's let go to be playing at the highest level by now.

If and when Barkley ends up playing for United after getting sold to Scunthorpe i'll lead the riots.

Thats key really.

You look around the Premiership and you consider how many players Everton have released under Moyes and I see only Danny Fox with Premiership games.

Kinda makes me think he knows his stuff.

Transfers and seeing the potential in players are two of Moyes' strongest attributes.

Of course the old argument 'you never know what would have happened if he hadnt released them' will probably pop up.

But by that logic a boss can never get rid of under performing staff on the odd chance they might one day come in and be ace.

Ruddy is one that springs to mind.

I'm just glad we got rid of Rodwell, a light breeze would tear his hamstring FFS.

'Rodwell you got what you deserved. Another sell out to a SKY 4 club. At least there is some justice for him. Now all we need is for you to gamble your ill gotten gains on the horses.'
