..as long as he qualifies for Everton. I'm the first to admit this boy has won me around with his performances this season. I'm chuffed that I got him wrong. Delighted he scored last night because it is important he ticks his tally over. A lot of comparisons being made on here and on telly, for what its worth I did post after the Norwich game that he really reminds me of Bobby Charlton. Praise indeed.

No it isn't. The top 5 cities for the proportion of people called Barkley are Belfast, Liverpool, Ballymoney, Ballymena, Shrewsbury. Proportionally, Barkley is far more popular in Northern Ireland than Great Britain.

I think we all agree we should just let him be himself, but a RS actually said the same thing about Zidane to me today, the way he collects the ball, and turns all in one touch

Barkley \b(a)-rk-ley, bar-kley\ as a boy's name is a variant of Barclay (Scottish, Old English) and Berkeley (Old English), and the meaning of Barkley is "birch tree meadow; the birch tree meadow".

btw he doesn't qualify for ANYONE apart from England, it may have passed some of you by but he made a rather impressive debut for them a couple of weeks ago.

And. There are plenty of English and Scottish names in Northern Ireland, in case you didn't know. Why do you think they're in the UK.

Its seem that top clubs are now watching him closely, we have to a Spurs like they did with Bale, put a silly price tag to put clubs off, but first we need him to sign a new five year contract

I thought Barkley was the NI variant of Barclay. Either way, both outstanding names for a dog.
