Not his best game, struggled against top class opposition. Most players of his type would. No need to panic, he is not world class at this moment in time.
Only England players I thought did well was Lallana, Jags and Rooney for his effort. Barkley had no chance to impress with limited time on the pitch and the rest stunk the place out IMO

Shouldn't be anywhere near the England first team at the moment. It's not his fault the national team is in such a dire state though.
I think the last few weeks have helped to temper our expectations, the potential's there for all to see but so are the flaws and mistakes in his game. What's worrying for us is how reliant we've became on him.

I think it should take more than a few good performances and a couple of well taken goals to catapult you into the national team, but that's the way England are at the moment.
He'll probably be dropped for the next squad and replaced by the current flavour of that month.
Erm, no...if you want reliance then look at Rooney and United/England.

hodgson is a complete clown, giving him 20 mins. barkley was obviously trying too hard when he came on to impress with england getting beat. watching complete dross like cleverley and sturridge stink the place out for most of the match.
