Those are two of the more obvious comments to have come out of Martinez recently. Now, I know we have been burnt before but where we are in the league, how we are playing and the potential we have on the pitch and standing on the touchline says to me that this is our time and it would be Chairman suicide to sell Barkley at this point, and if we do look like or we do reach the potential we are showing then there is no reason to think that we would ever sell him.

First thing first, No club in the world would bid anywhere near a Bale sized fee for Barkley

Second, As if we would knock back a fee like that, Kenwright would jizz so hard his bellend would explode

£40-50m maybe. Martinez would lose his absolute sh*t if we sold him at all I reckon. Especially for the price of an Andy Carroll two and a half years ago.

You just have to look at how brilliant it has turned out for Spurs this season to see that selling the player that carries the fans hopes isn't always for the best. You're probably right that he would be sold if a ridiculous bid was made, thats football business. But IMO Barkley and Martinez are the 2 fresh new faces of the remodelled Everton and losing one of them would derail the blue revolution and sink Bills popularity to an all time low. Barkley and Everton is a marriage made in heaven, plus he's young, English and plays like a Brazilian. If anyone wants him in these times of FFP its going to take exactly that, a fcuking ridiculous bid.

Given that Kenwright was allegedly crying in Ferguson's office and Fergie was mocking him in his autobiography recently.

Also the recent 'apology' scandal over Moyes.


Does anyone think Kenwright doesn't have a vindictive streak? Doesn't need to sell. Won't sell least of all to them.

He's 2-1 up over Fellaini/Moyes as it is.

There's no way we'd accept something as low as £35m for Ross Barkley.

We don't need to sell particularly. Our financial health when Rooney left was very different (understatement).

I'm pretty sure Ross is not for sale. Martinez has said there's no point bidding even Bale numbers, so I doubt we'd sell for a lot less than half that amount.

Absolutely zero chance, for many, many reasons.

Barkley dislikes him.
Martinez simply won't sell.
The Man United fans won't accept another signing from Everton.
They don't need a player for his position when they have Rooney and Kagawa.
The animosity between the two clubs currently is blatant.

It's just a non-starter. There's no need for any panic whatsoever. There's more chance of us signing Messi.

Why do people keep saying this ? There is no proof to it whatsoever, the only quotes he's ever given about moyes have been positive. Not saying he loves him but none of us really have a clue about his feelings towards moyes.
